What should I do if I need a PUK code?

If your phone asks for a PUK code, it usually means the SIM card was locked after too many incorrect PIN attempts. Do not keep guessing the code, because repeated incorrect attempts can permanently lock the SIM.

What is a PUK code?

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. It is a security code used to unlock a SIM card after the SIM PIN has been entered incorrectly too many times.

What to do next

  • Stop entering random codes or PINs.
  • Keep your TAG Mobile phone, SIM card, and account information nearby.
  • Contact TAG Mobile support so your account can be verified and the correct next step can be provided.

If your SIM cannot be unlocked

If the SIM has been permanently locked, TAG Mobile support can review replacement SIM or eSIM options for your account.

For your security, only use unlock instructions provided by TAG Mobile support.
