My phone has no service or signal — what should I do?

Toggle Airplane Mode off and on, restart your phone, and make sure you’re in a coverage area. If the problem continues, confirm that your activation is complete.

Quick fixes to try

  • Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off
  • Restart your phone
  • Confirm you’re in a TAG Mobile coverage area
  • Remove and reseat your SIM card
  • Check for a local network outage

If you still have no service

Verify your account is active and your activation is complete. If everything looks right and there’s still no signal, contact TAG Mobile support.

If your phone shows SOS or Emergency Calls Only

SOS or Emergency Calls Only usually means your phone is not fully connected to the mobile network. Try moving to a stronger coverage area, toggling Airplane Mode, restarting the phone, and checking that activation is complete. For more help, see What does SOS or Emergency Calls Only mean on my phone?.

Weak coverage and non-usage reminders

If you are in a weak coverage area and your phone supports Wi-Fi Calling, turning it on may help with calls over Wi-Fi. Lifeline customers should also use the service regularly to avoid non-usage notices. See What should I do if my service was disconnected for non-usage?.
