What is Lifeline?

Lifeline helps you stay connected and save money on your monthly telephone bill. The Lifeline discount can be applied to either the home telephone service (landline or cable) or wireless service. The discount is available for only one line per household.

Phone Service

TAG Mobile provides Lifeline program, a government-assisted wireless service, to low-income families and individuals in . Qualified customers receive free cell phone and service. Lifeline discounts are available to eligible customers who meet specific criteria, including government assistance or a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Lifeline benefits are limited to one per household and cannot be combined with other offers.

*All new applicants will need to submit proof of government assistance in order to complete enrollment. There are several easy methods to submit proof the eligibility; you will be able to select what method is best for you later in the signup process.
*If you provide documentation that does not cover a full year (such as current paycheck stubs), you must submit three (3) consecutive months worth of the same type of document from the previous twelve months.

TAG Mobile represents the Lifeline service in your state. PLEASE NOTE: You must be eligible to receive Lifeline services. In order to sign up you must have a current government benefit card or income document and your government issued ID. Willfully making false statements to obtain the Lifeline benefit can result in fines, imprisonment, disenrollment or being blocked from the program. Only one Lifeline benefit per household. A household is defined, for the purposes the Lifeline program, as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses. Violation of the one per household limitation constitutes a violation of the Federal Communications Commission's rules and will result in your de-enrollment. The Lifeline is a non-transferable benefit, and you may not transfer this benefit to any other person, regardless of if they qualify for Lifeline. Lifeline is available to only one person per household. When you receive the service, you cannot transfer it to another person. 911 Emergency Service is available where wireless service is located, which can be reduced by buildings, weather, mountains, etc. If your phone is out of range in an emergency dial 911 from a landline phone.
